Health Access and Community Enrichment at City of Hope

Rooted in Hope, Building a Healthier Future for Every Community We Serve

City of Hope®’s Health Access and Community Enrichment office advances cancer care by breaking down barriers to access, improving health outcomes and supporting patients with unmet care needs. Through research-driven strategies, inclusive workforce development, and community-centered initiatives, we expand access to early detection, enhance representation in clinical trials and ensure every City of Hope patient receives compassionate, culturally responsive care. We strive to ensure that every patient, caregiver and team member at City of Hope experiences a culture of belonging, support, and opportunity.

Led by Dr. Loretta Erhunmwunsee, a nationally recognized thoracic surgeon, patient advocate and health disparities researcher, our Health Access and Community Enrichment program drives City of Hope’s mission to address gaps in care and improve health outcomes for all the communities it serves. Together, we are advancing care and reshaping the future of health by driving meaningful access and delivering better outcomes for all.
