— City of Hope’s National Home Furnishings Industry will honor Larry Harrow and Jason Harrow of Hollywood Bed Frame
with its 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award. City of Hope is a leading research, treatment and education center for cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.
The Harrows will receive their awards at the West Coast Golf & Tennis Tournament on June 10, 2013 at the Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club in Coto de Caza, CA. As City of Hope celebrates 100 years of care and discovery, this special day for the National Home Furnishings Industry

One in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Designated as a comprehensive cancer center, the highest honor bestowed by the National Cancer Institute, City of Hope is a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. Its lifesaving research and treatment advances improve the lives of people around the nation, and numerous breakthrough cancer drugs are based on technology pioneered at City of Hope. Further, its commitment to compassionate patient care and its approach to individualized treatment are considered models for supportive care in the United States.
Hollywood Bed Frame Company was founded 80 years ago by Irving and Hannah Harrow. Their son, Larry, has engineered the company’s product line and has been awarded 16 U.S. patents. He is active in many philanthropic endeavors, as is his son, Jason. During Jason’s tenure as President, Hollywood Bed Frame’s sales have tripled, as they have diversified and expanded their customer base from a regional to an international business. The company is a major supplier to key retailers, the hospitality industry and the U.S. Armed Forces.

Larry Harrow has served on the Boards of the California Furniture Manufacturers Association, American Diabetes Association, DARE America, Volunteers of America and the American Youth Soccer Organization.
