The Clinical Research Training Office (CRTO) provides comprehensive training in clinical research, good clinical practice, and responsible conduct of research. Didactic instruction and mentoring in fundamental skills, methodology, good clinical practice, and theory of clinical research all combine to develop a well-trained, independent, clinical investigator.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between the basic scientist and clinician, to streamline the development of novel therapeutics, and facilitate their application in clinical trials. City of Hope’s dual strengths in breakthrough biomedical research and compassionate patient care form the basis for our comprehensive approach, educating students, residents, fellows, and faculty in practical applications of scientific knowledge, for the treatment of patients everywhere.
All City of Hope personnel involved with human subject research at City of Hope must have a valid Clinical Research Certification. Recertification must be updated every three years through the Clinical Research Training Office. City of Hope and Beckman Research Institute are committed to ensuring the safe and ethical conduct of research involving human subjects and adhering to federal and state regulations and statutes.
