The fields of clinical research and clinical trials have a language all their own, replete with acronyms and jargon. The Clinical Research Training Office has put together the following compendium of commonly used terminology in clinical research.

Clinical Research Certification and recertification
All City of Hope personnel involved with human subject research at City of Hope must have a valid Clinical Research Certification. Recertification must be updated every three years through the Clinical Research Training Office. City of Hope and Beckman Research Institute are committed to ensuring the safe and ethical conduct of research involving human subjects and adhering to federal and state regulations and statutes.
