Steven Martin is currently the vice president of marketing for City of Hope. In his role, Martin is responsible for City of Hope’s national marketing including cause-related marketing programs, corporate sponsorship of national events, national media partnerships, celebrity relationships and national advertising.
Martin came to City of Hope from Share Our Strength, where he served as managing director, creative enterprises and marketing, for the national nonprofit. While in that position, he was responsible for all marketing and corporate partnerships and developed an exclusive national media partnership with the Food Network, which encompasses the platforms and programs of the entire organization. Prior to that, he served as vice president for advertising, brand management and corporate sponsorship for Charles Schwab. While there he created the Charles Schwab Cup, the umbrella sponsorship of the (PGA) Champions Tour. Before joining Charles Schwab, he served as group manager of corporate sponsorship and event marketing for Sprint Corporation, where some of its partners included the National Football League, the PGA of America, the NCAA, US Ski Team, World Cup Soccer 1994 and the Rolling Stones’ 1997 “Bridges to Babylon” tour.
Martin holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Kansas.
